April Williamson
Digital Promise | United States
April Williamson is the Director of Global Projects at Digital Promise, a global education nonprofit dedicated to expanding opportunity for every learner. She oversees Digital Promise’s credentialing portfolio—including competency-based micro-credentials and the Badge Engine platform—and leads international programs and partnerships, adapting research-backed tools and resources across diverse global contexts. April also represents Digital Promise across key international networks, including UNESCO’s Global Education Coalition and the International Task Force on Teachers for Education 2030 (Teacher Task Force), where she co-leads the thematic group on digital education and AI.
Previously, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, a Senior Program Officer at Results for Development, a secondary math teacher and instructional coach in Washington, D.C., and an Expert Mentor with the Modern Classrooms Project. April holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a master’s degree from Yale University’s Jackson School of Global Affairs.
