Welcome to our webinar on Leading Microcredentials for Aotearoa-New Zealand, Lessons for Global Implementation, which aims to explore and address the experience of leading one of the world’s earliest pilots in mainstreaming microcredentials.
We host Dr. Phil Ker, ONZM, who will share with us the journey to Microcredentials in Aotearoa-New Zealand. Phil led the nation’s most successful TVET provider, Otago Polytechnic-Te Kura Matatini ki Otago between 2004 and 2020.
The Polytechnic was known for excellence and innovation under his leadership, and was the pioneer in conceptualizing, piloting and achieving placement of Microcredentials on the NZ National Qualifications Framework in 2018.
In our session, Phil will share this pioneer journey, highlighting the significant impact and learnings from this important work, sharing valuable insights for global practice and implementation.
